BEYOND THE PAIN
BODY ART IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE AN IMPORTANT MEANS TO SELF-EXPRESSION AND IS ONE OF THE WAYS PEOPLE CAN PAY HOMAGE TO THEMSELVES AS INDIVIDUALS, BY ACKNOWLEDGING THEIR EXISTENCE THROUGH AESTHETIC REPRESENTATION. SINCE TRIBAL DAYS, BODY ART HAS BEEN A WAY TO MARK ONE’S ACCEPTANCE OF ONE’S SELF, AND IN SO DOING, HELPING ONE TO UNDERSTAND, ACCEPT AND RESPECT THE INDIVIDUALISM OF OURSELVES AND OUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS. THE WORLD AT LARGE SEEMS TO HAVE FORGOTTEN THIS IN ITS QUEST FOR CIVILIZATION AND HAS INADVERTENTLY TURNED US INTO SAVAGES WHO JUDGE RECKLESSLY, WITHOUT REGARD FOR AN INDIVIDUAL’S ACHIEVEMENTS AND ABILITIES.

In 2015, I was presented with an opportunity that at the time i didn’t realize would change life forever. From a very young age I was interested in body modification, although understanding my interest would only come much later in life.

I grew up in a very religious home and was never allowed the opportunity to express my love for Body Modification, but the interest never faded. After the separation of my parents things became a lot easier to talk about with my mom in particular, and my interest in the industry grew even more.

After high school, I really wanted to go into studying medicine, but unfortunately as life would have it, that wasn’t an option for me at that point in time. So i started working after taking a gap year to find myself and transition into adulthood. I had two jobs in the space of two years, one being a sales rep for a lab equipment supply company. Then in April 2015, I was offered an apprenticeship By Conrad Feldman, creator and owner of Beyond Body Modification. Not realizing how big of an opportunity it was, I told him that I had a job and would contact him if I ever needed a job. For two months, the thought of actually being able to be a part of the industry I’d been interested in for year, was starting to look like more of a possibility and less like a hope. Thats when I quite my job and took Conrad up on his offer .

In 2015 I started what would turn out to be the best job I could ever have imagined for myself. Being a Body Piercer allows me to give joy to people from all walks of life.

I want to give clients the opportunity to express themselves through body piercing and body modification, because I wasn’t able to. Helping people find happiness and peace within themselves helps me find happiness and peace within me. I look forward to bettering my skills and gaining more experience in this industry, and with the help and guidance of Conrad, I wouldn’t be where i am today. His patience and care has brought me so far in my career, and I will forever be grateful for that.

My goal is to still one day study medicine as that is my true passion. But for the time being I am exactly where I need to be in life and will continue to help and guide my clients to being better versions of themselves.
